Chief litigation officers from the financial services and insurance sectors are faced with more scrutiny and regulation than many of their counterparts in other industries, resulting in a tougher legal environment to navigate. To be sure, this group of legal executives has a long laundry list of to-dos and risks to maneuver, but they have equal opportunities to drive value and protect their organizations by using all available legal resources. From shaping litigation strategy to mitigating cyber and privacy risks, litigation chiefs from these industries can leverage their current resources and talent to manage the litigation function as a business and add value to their organizations.
The Financial and Insurance Litigation Report was developed in connection with Consero’s 2016 Financial Services and Insurance Litigation Forum for chief litigation officers from the respective industries. In April of 2016, 59 legal executives participated in this 14-question survey.
