March 2013 Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Report

Last year presented Chief Procurement Officers of the world’s largest businesses with a fiercely complex and challenging economic environment. With increasing demands from leadership and a general scarcity of resources, 2012 truly kept these senior executives on their toes. As we head deeper into 2013, it appears as though these demands are likely to intensify in the evolving global marketplace, requiring more time, focus, and tools than ever before.

This survey, presented in partnership with Vantage Partners, LLC, was developed in connection with an invitation-only event hosted by Consero Group LLC in January 2013 for a group of Fortune 1000 Chief Procurement Officers. While the survey was limited to 42 participants, the answers provide some useful benchmarking data, as well as valuable insight into the perspective and concerns of this group of senior executives.
