Authentic, Effective, and Accountable Leadership: What Does It Take?

Consero’s Leadership Development Institute focuses on answering the central question:

What does it really take to be an effective and accountable C–Suite executive?

Through a carefully curated series of both virtual modules and in-person seminars – reflecting a combination of learnings from experts and current C-Suite leaders, along with facilitated self-reflection – participants will leave the program with a comprehensive understanding of what it truly takes to be an effective leader in today’s competitive environment. The modules are organized to reflect the important progression of focus from internal to external, beginning with self awareness and self reflection. The course then progresses to the attributes of leaders who demonstrate excellence in leading teams, emphasizing the importance of strategic thinking as a core element of leadership, regardless of role. The program concludes with a powerful discussion of a topic that many leaders neglect – leading with empathy and compassion, and the essential element of true human connection.

The goal of the course is to develop leaders who:

  • Understand that self awareness, the ability to articulate one’s strengths and opportunities, and the willingness to accept feedback, are essential elements of strong leadership

  • Internalize the importance of personal character, courage, execution and accountability, and the inevitable intersection of each of these with organizational culture

  • Create inclusive, resilient, and psychologically safe teams through listening, humble inquiry, and servant leadership

  • Lead organizational change through effective communication, crisis management, and critical strategic thinking

  • Navigate corporate politics and exercise effective use of authority

“A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent.”
