Consero is honored to announce that Sharon Ashton has joined the faculty for Consero's Shared Services & Outsourcing Forum 2012.
As a Senior Director in North America Shared Services, Sharon Ashton directs the following organizations:
Employee Services, Benefit & Compensation Analytics, which provides Payroll Tax, Company Car, and relocation services to over 100,000 current and former McDonald’s employees in both the U.S. and Canada. They are also responsible for compensation reporting, insurance and retirement accounting, vendor management, and shareholder services.
Real Estate and Franchisee (REF) Accounting, which processes all the real estate accounting transactions for over 2,000 operators and over 13,000 U.S. restaurants. REF is responsible for the billing and collection of rents, leases, and service fees, as well as overseeing the construction payment process and supporting all the U.S. Agenda initiatives.
Ms. Ashton leads the organization’s people strategy, participates in best practice sharing, and defines the organization’s strategy and goals. Throughout her career, she has led numerous business process transitions, outsourcing of the record keeping for the retirement plans, and technology implementations.
Ms. Ashton joined McDonald’s in 1980 in McOpCo Accounting and has also served in various leadership capacities with Employee Services and Real Estate Accounting. In 1986, Ms. Ashton won the President’s Award, which is given to the top 1% of performers in the Company.
Ms. Ashton holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting from Elmhurst College, where she was named the Outstanding Student in Business & Economics. Ms. Ashton has 2 grown sons and resides with her husband in Downers Grove, IL.
