Consero is honored to announce that Samuel J. Gesten has joined the Forum faculty for Consero's Corporate Counsel Forum 2012.
Samuel J. Gesten joined Allergan in June 2009 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel, then was promoted to Executive Vice President and General Counsel on August 1, 2010. He led Allergan's 65-person, global Legal team and also supported Allergan's Board of Directors and senior management. He was also the Vice-Chairman of APACE, Allergan's PAC. Allergan is a $5 Billion multi-specialty healthcare company with 10,000 employees globally.
Prior to joining Allergan, during an 11-year span, Mr. Gesten held various roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific, which is a $10 Billion company with 35,000 employees that manufactures and sells lab equipment and devices. He was Vice President and General Counsel of the Laboratory Equipment Group, one of the three operating groups. Mr. Gesten was responsible for overseeing the group’s legal matters, including commercial, compliance, IP, and litigation. Additionally, he served on the Group’s leadership team and provided general legal and business advice. Mr. Gesten was also responsible for Thermo Fisher’s corporate online legal training and Asia Pacific legal affairs.
