Faculty: ROSA AKHTARKHAVARI (City of Orlando, Florida), Chief Information Officer

Consero is honored to announce that Rosa Akhtarkhavari will be joining the Forum faculty for Consero's Government IT Forum 2012.

Rosa Akhtarkhavari has worked for the City of Orlando for over 19 years, and currently serves as the Chief Information Officer. In this role, Ms. Akhtarkhavari is responsible for strategic direction of the City's technology, Geographic Information Systems, Applications, network and data security, as well as management of the physical and personnel technology infrastructure for the City.  
 
While employed at the City of Orlando, Ms. Akhtarkhavari has also served as Chief Security Officer, Deputy Chief Information Officer, Client Services Manager, Financial Manager, and Application Administrator, Manager, and Developer. Before coming to the City of Orlando, Ms. Akhtarkhavari worked as a Technology Consultant.  
 
Ms. Akhtarkhavari also worked at Florida State University while pursuing her Master's degree and before moving to the United States, taught at Yarmourk University. Ms. Akhtarkhavari was honored as Campaign Coordinator of the year (2009) and received the Federal Computer Rising Star award (2007).
