Consero is honored to announce that Mark Butterman has joined the faculty for Consero's Corporate Counsel Forum 2012.
Mark Butterman is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of ProBuild Holdings LLC, the nation’s largest supplier of building products to building professionals. He is responsible for advising senior management and the Board of Directors on the legal aspects of strategy, policy, and operating plans. He directs the day-to-day conduct of the corporate legal department and all legal work performed by outside counsel. His responsibilities include litigation management and dispute resolution, legal oversight of M&A activities, risk management support, financial services compliance, commercial contracts, and human resources support.
Mr. Butterman previously was a member of the Executive Committee at Schwartz Cooper, a Chicago-based law firm. He was also Secretary and outside General Counsel of Wickes Lumber Company, and previously served as inside General Counsel at Wickes. He has also held a senior legal position at Coldwell Banker Commercial Group.
Mr. Butterman earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Grinnell College, his Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law, and his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
