Consero is honored to announce that Leonard H. Shen will be joining the Forum faculty for Consero's Corporate Compliance and Ethics Forum 2012.
Leonard Shen serves as the Global Chief Compliance Officer at PayPal, the leading online payments company with over 100 million consumer and business users. Leading a team of over 100 personnel, Mr. Shen is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws in the 190 countries where PayPal operates.
Before joining PayPal, Mr. Shen was Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer at American Express. Prior to his work at American Express, he spent 12 years at General Electric Corporation, serving for four years as Chief Compliance Officer for its Commercial Finance division. Among other positions he has held in his career, Mr. Shen has worked for the U.S. Senate, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Justice, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Shen graduated with a degree in History and Literature from Harvard College, magna cum laude, and received a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, where he served as an editor for the Harvard Law Review. He is admitted to practice law in California, Massachusetts, and Washington, D.C.
Mr. Shen was recognized as one of the top corporate compliance officers in the United States by Forbes Ethisphere magazine in both 2009 and 2010.
