Faculty: DONALD COX (United States Department of Labor) Senior Information Technology Specialist and Program Manager

Consero is honored to announce that Donald Cox will be joining the Forum faculty for Consero's Government IT Forum 2012.

Donald Cox is an Executive IT Specialist and Program Manager with the Department of Labor. He is the lead for the Human Resource Line of Business outsourcing initiative. Previously, Mr. Cox served as the Director of the Intelligence and Decision Support Branch, Systems Development Division for Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE). In this capacity, he served as a Senior Manager and expert on a broad range of projects and programs with national and international impact. Mr. Cox’s achievements at ICE include broadening the business intelligence and analytical capability, enhancements and development of an intelligence fusion system, and implementing a capability that combines fragments of data spread across a vast set of starting material to help an analyst tell the larger story.

Previously, he was the Director of Enterprise IT Services with Energy Enterprise Solutions supporting the Department of Energy (DOE). He provided senior project and program management oversight and vision to the Department of Energy CIO's Information Technology Enterprise Program. He managed services delivery related to data centers, networks and telecommunications, cyber security, and desktop/seat management support. At DOE he was involved in the virtualization of hundreds of standalone servers. He also oversaw the implementation of a desktop thin client initiative.

Mr. Cox has 20 years of law enforcement investigative experience and was certified as an expert in computer forensics. He has implemented clustering capabilities, used virtualization in investigations, and developed networks used in simplifying the analysis of terabytes of data.
