Consero is honored to announce that Cynthia Cetani will be joining the Forum faculty for Consero's Corporate Compliance and Ethics Forum 2012.
Cynthia Cetani is Vice President, Ethics & Compliance, and Chief Compliance Officer for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. In this role, she oversees the company’s Corporate Compliance Program and, coordinating with the Legal Department, is responsible for establishing standards and policies pertaining to regulatory requirements to help ensure legal, ethical, and proper conduct; for making sure these standards are communicated and institutionalized across the Company; and for monitoring the company’s compliance with these standards and policies.
Most recently, Ms. Cetani was Executive Director, Ethics & Compliance, where she led several projects related to the company’s Healthcare Professional/Organization interactions policy, including the monitoring and reporting of related spend. In this position, she chaired the Event Oversight Committee, charged with review and approval of various promotional and consulting events, and she served on the Novartis Executive Diversity & Inclusion Council.
From 2005 to 2008, Ms. Cetani served as Director, Ethics & Compliance. She joined Novartis in 2003 as Associate Director, Healthcare Compliance. Among her achievements, she designed and implemented an enterprise-wide Aggregate Spend solution and policy for Healthcare Professionals/Organizations, led responses to State Law Marketing Disclosure reporting requirements, and designed and directed change management behavior communications to employees.
Prior to joining Novartis, Ms. Cetani worked at Pharmacia/Pfizer Corporation, where she was Director of Operations, Managed Care. In this capacity, she built a Marketing Communication, Production, and Project Management/Budget team, and ultimately monitored operations of all managed care promotional, compliance, and budgetary activities.
In addition to her work in the pharmaceutical industry, Ms. Cetani has extensive experience in healthcare and life insurance, and over 15 years experience in Compliance-related roles. She is a graduate of Rider College, Lawrenceville, NJ with a Bachelor of Science - Commerce, Finance, magna cum laude.
